We travel all the way to Ft. Worth to adopt Windy, then head on a spring storm chasing trip across the Plains.

She loves riding in the car, watching for birds, squirrels, cows, supercells and an occasional tornado. Here are the storms she saw:
June 5
June 9-13
June 14
June 15 & 17

After she settles into her new home in Huntington Beach, we take her on long walks in a nearby nature preserve.

Windy is the most affectionate dog we've ever known and is a big hit with family, friends, acquaintances...okay, anyone who will pet her.

The most common remark we hear: "What a sweet dog!"

She accompanied us on an autumn trip to the central California mountains. (Here is the photo journal).

Rolling in the snow in the ghost town of Bodie, California.

Watching trout in a mountain creek.

When she sees a bird, Windy instinctively goes into a classic bird-dog point.

Relaxing on a warm October afternoon in Nevada City, California.

Home in time for Halloween.

The second most common comment from strangers: "What a pretty dog!"

But she's not afraid to get a little dirty when she's looking for prey.

"Please let me in the house."

With her favorite toy.

How hunting dogs unwind at home.

But her first love is to hang out with her humans.
